Im torn between potentially awesome wii controls and "next gen" graphics... + whatever multiplayer they tack on for live.

Take for example Killzone 2. Killzone 1 and the psp game recieved mixed reviews but killzone 2 is being hyped to hell and back despite being an unproved (to be good) franchise

I assume it would be similar to the 360 HD DVD drive,with its own USB ports to replace the one you used to plug it in and a jack for wireless adapter or ethernet adapter in your case.

The aussie dollar is sitting at about 95c to the US dollar. Our currency is doing better than it ever has atm, it just because we are a PAL territory that our prices are so messed up.
I would have bought the 80gb bundle day 1, but i refuse to buy the gimp 40gb bundled with the obsolete controller.
I suspect no DS3 is one of the reasons that the 40gb gta bundle flopped. Perhaps PAL is finally wising up to the shafting we get?
Now i guess i will now pin my ps3 hopes on a gt5 bundle with full BC and Ds3. Very pissed i will miss out on mgs4 now.
The classes and more importantly races are not balanced.
Undead dominate the top of the charts in every battlegroup because of there PVP friendly racials. Until they balance other races or disable racials in the arenas you cant say that X team won because they where better on the day.
The wii has already won this gen. Sony and MS just have to fight over the tablescraps of 2nd and 3rd place.

Finding out how "open" psn actually is. Not sure if i agree with them picking and choosing which arcade titles are allowed because the opinion of a stuffy censor or marketing manager might differ to those of hardcore gamers.
If only sony would put more effort into PSN. Xbox live is the true MS trump card, and a free competitor with feature parity would shake MS gaming division to the very core and make the ps3 a much more attractive proposition to online gamers.

i recently picked up crackdown and was surprised how good it was. i will keep my eyes on this one!
Doom 3 did have its moments. The Cherubs and the spiders gave me a jolt. Cherubs where fast and did very good damage to you, and the spiders attacked en masse.
But no system shock 2 references? No hybrids, no iron maidens and none of those "helpful" robots that blew up in your face? For shame! SS2 is the spookiest game ive played and ive played all the console survival horror games.
