How many ppl buy a console just to play CoD, FIFA or some other sports game? Not everyone buys every AAA title that comes out. And PC gamers have so many games to choose from, and wildly different tastes and that is why big titles don't sell as well as on consoles. If consoles gamers had that many different choices it would be the same situation, the money would spread around. And games are games, be they FPS, RTS or MOBA.
Game dev needs to sell double on consoles than on PC for the same profit. They get 70% from a sold copy on Steam, and about 30% from consoles.

I'd say it was, considering how much stuff was rendered on screen at high quality settings and it was still running great on my mid range pc.

Ppl obviously don't get that MGSV isn't really that graphically advanced. It is very well optimized, but the main reason it runs great is because it doesn't have that much to draw onscreen.
Average polygon count on objects and environments that are pretty empty overall. Compared to GTAV this is nothing remarkable at all.
Main reason it looks good and even amazing to some is detailed characters and a ton of not that demanding postprocess effects.

I'm no fan of MGS but the original Snake is waaay better than Jack Bauer. What a mistake. The infallible Kojima f*ed it up royally.
Multiple playthroughs and i always went with Jack and Zaeed, and Liara when possible.
