That's the main problem right there. They are more interested in maximizing profits instead of creating the best game they can. Most AAA games now are designed as a money making product not a work of art.

I was thinking this was something like Left4Dead, linear progression through big maps with you buddies. Instead, its only small areas in which you go back and forth fighting waves of zombies and finally some boring boss fight. Guns are modeled and animated extremely well and realistic and are a joy to use, but the game itself is so boring and repetitive that i'm amazed it's so popular.

Console players insisting on 4k games for next gen is a bad move since its too demanding and playing on a TV isn't the same as playing on a monitor. There is much more important stuff, 1080p is perfectly fine.

Ryse has bigger environments and more npc's.
Ofc you can make photorealistic graphics if you only have to render small spaces, take PT for example.
Thats why Crysis 3 is much more impressive than something like The Order, and thats why 7 year old Crysis 1 still needs a good pc to run at 60fps.
All that vegetation and its shadows take a lot of power to render.

Yes, Order is better looking than Ryse (being so linear sure helps) and almost every game ever released, but saying its 360 levels is ridiculous.
Played it on pc and it looks amazing, cant imagine xbone version being much worse.
