Never played it, or any of the Persona for that matter. Definitely picking this up if it releases in the UK ^^
They are undercutting by a pretty big margin. Only £14 more expensive than the wi-fi only model (with their wi-fi only model being £20 less than RRP). This is definitely a good deal. If I hadn't pre-ordered a wi-fi only model and already saved up money on a gift card then I would consider purchasing this.
I don't really play games online, so I don't really care. As long as the single player doesn't get shunted then they can do what they want.
I wonder what the UK prices will be...and what provider? Whatever the price I doubt anything could tempt me to get the 3G version over the Wi-Fi. Dont really have the need for it, anyway. Just want to play the games!
Yea the only real gripe they have in this video review is the fact that you are *required* to purchase a seperate memory card to run many of the applications and some games. That is not on, really, but what can we do about it? Vita is still my most anticipated hardware release ever and nothing is going to change that :) roll on 22nd February.
I listened to the podcast myself last night, and they didn't actually say "It won't release". The guys were like "It releases in February" then the woman said "it probably won't, even". Then the guys was like "..no it will". The wording of the N4G topic title blew it out of proportion, really.
Just like "The Final Destination" (4th film). And now, oh look, theres a 5 xD The Final Fantasy would actually be a pretty good marketing idea, people would be riding the buzz this this could potentially be the last game, when of course really there will be more later down the line :P
Final Fantasy Versus, yes. Final Fantasy XV, no. If they called it XV it would be a bit odd, as it would have elements of the Fabula Nova Crystallis mythology. I know that the FNC no longer has the "XIII" tagline like it did before, but still. Wouldn't make sense for a main numbered title to have ties to a previous main numbered title.
That CNET comment was ridiculous! xD And I agree with Fatal Blow, this was a very good review ^^
It's 2012. That's a start!
It's common sense to judge a game for yourself before jumping to a conclusion.
OR it could be because Toys "R" Us don't have any DLC incentive, hoping that consumers will opt for the lower price instead.
Agreed. This game NEEDS to be localised, the demo was so much fun.
I think it is, too, especially when you compare it to the original PSP. The Vita is only £50 more expensive than the PSP launch price, but is packed with so much more technology. The price is easily justified.
Day one for me, too! Can't wait :) actually more excited for the Vita than I was for both the PSP and PS3!
I will be purchasing the wi-fi Vita with a 16GB memory card and Uncharted at retail, and when I get home (or when I complete uncharted) I will purchase Gravity Rush from PSN. Such a shame that game isnt hitting retail over here.
I can't believe people actually disagreed with you! :P
LOL! xD
"Would delaying the PS Vita to drop the price before it releases in the U.S. help with its sales?"
Sure, sales could be better if this happened, but why would they choose to do that? People (like myself) are ready and waiting to drop the full amount on the Vita. I mean, just look at the PS3. It launched at £425 and it STUCK at that price for a long time, even with all the doom articles.
There is no way Sony is going to give in that easily.
FFXIII-2 is a February release here :( The beginning of February, but still. Those couple extra days of waiting will be torture xD Thank GOD the wait between releases isn't as bad as it used to be for the older FF games!
It makes a change to read something positive rather than "it's doomed!".
