Typically new "do all" software looks like a good idea but in practice it does nothing well.
I played the Beta site on the weekend. I hope it gets better. It looked to me like another version of Fortnite,
it's always about the money. The proliferation of MMO's and co'ops like Overlook can only be because they're more profitable. I have tried most of them but they all suck. I will stay a single player until they close the lid. Long live the likes of GOW and HZD and sp GTA.
It was the single player that made GTA5 a great game. It sounds like GTA6 will be something else. Sad

I just turned 75 and being retired I play my ps5 all day.. l like single player campaigns.
Sadly it may be the death throes of a once great franchise. They have abandoned the formula of 50/50 campaigns and multiplayer. The last good cod was the WW2 edition.
I hate multi-player. COD had good multi-player games witha 8 person max teams. Ever since Fortnite every time I play it's all CAMPERS. Love single player campaigns.
Microsoft is mostly a pc and software company and gaming is a small cog in a big wheel. They need the money to win the AI race. Sony deals more in entertainment.
I for one are excited to finally see Halo on my ps5. I have been playing both Xbox and PLAYSTATION for years and now it looks like the best game franchise is now on the best console.
Too many campers in multi-player for me. The best games for me are single player campaigns. Sadly the studios find the big multi-players more profitable.
Love gears but when are we getting HALO?
The politics may have influenced the game but the truth is that as games go it wasn't very good.
One advantage to all digital is that there are no moving parts to wear out. The consoles will likely last longer.

Nix the Forza. PS already has great racing games. Forza would be one among many. My ps5 is waiting for Halo and Gears, Sony has nothing like those two.
I get how mmo games like Fortnite are real popular but I have tried them all and they are fun for a while but even gta 5 had a great single player and was lol funny. I think the studios are just taking the easy profitable route with the huge mmo's. It takes more effort and good writing to produce a good single player game. It seems the single player games form a pattern. When the release date is announced it then devolves into postponements, news leaks and after all that a game is release...
I am not suprised either. Many older games are just as good and a heck of allot cheaper. I just played all three Tomb Raider games for the third time and they are outstanding. Not to mention Laura is hotter than a pistol in the early games. I think the pc crowd will frown on that.
Sadly, it's all about the money. The best games will always be the most expensive because gamers like me will pay it.
