more likely Voxel based GI
not ray tracing but the results are impressive
if it's true
then what HR did wasn't as bad it was worst
Textures of Ni no Kuni looks flat on 4K
it's obvious it was intended to look like what it is on the original system
But in Demon's Souls the improvement is clearly not just more polygons
the textures looks much better
clearly it suppose to look better, not for 4K but better
Not all of them
The textures of Demon's Souls clearly better than what they look on the PS3
if implemented correctly it won't have a real effect on performance
maybe few frames every 10 minutes
With all these DLCs and deluxe and collector editions
Why add micro transactions?
Simple answer
if you have PS4 or PS4 Pro then buy the PS4 one because it's the same. The pro will take advantage of higher settings
if you have Xbox One get the Xbox One version
if you have good PC then get the PC version
4K Demon's Souls

Didn't expect it to be like this
I think there is one but you have to unlock it
They need two things
1. Give the developers enough time to complete the games
2. Don't ruin the games with bad business decisions
For Honor:
1-> Check
2-> The worst business decisions they ever made for a single game. Starting from Peer-to-Peer match making to insane micro (or mega) transactions
Post-Process AA
The difference is they give the developers time to complete the game and you don't
even if you give them the time you might ruin their work with bad business decision and For Honor is good example
@TFJWM
PSX
Started as Standalone DLC
now it's almost a full game
but anyone bought the Season Pass will get it without paying extra money
it hack n' slash, I can't deny it
but a bad one compare to the examples I gave in my last comment
God of War, Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, Darksiders ...etc are hack n' slash
unlike Dynasty Warrior the combat in all these games have depth
Warrior games hardly improved since DW2
Yes
but this one will have larger maps
This is how you properly test the CPU on gaming
The CPU responsible of Draw Calls
and you can't test how much Draw Calls the CPU can do when the GPU is on full load. because the CPU will wait for the GPU to have some idle time to send new Draw Calls
on lower settings the GPU will have a lot of idle time so the CPU will keep sending Draw Call
for the time being it's not a big problem for most people
but for the future wi...
Talent is one point
but more importantly is less control from the investors and more freedom for the developers
EA, Ubisoft, Activision, .... have talented developers but they have less freedom and the result incomplete games
The problem with current Global illumination techniques is most of them are pre-calculated
this is totally inefficient for Open-World with day night cycle
Ray Tracing is far away for real time gaming but some Voxel based GI APIs are ready and next gen hardware should be enough for it
