Microsoft must prevent Sony from completely wiping out HD DVD and winning the HD format war with Blu-ray before the summer of 2008.
PS3 and Blu-ray together make an interesting two-stage strategy for Sony:
1. The first stage is really about selling a Blu-ray player with gaming feature added on as a bonus and selling point -- you buy a blu-ray player now, and you get the extra benefit of playing games in the future.
2. *IF* Blu-ray wins the format...

Philips also invented the original CD... which leads to DVD, Blu-ray, HD DVD, and everything else.
Sony (i.e., the publisher) pushes the developers to release the games early even as the games require more playtesting, tweaking and fine-tuning. PS3 desperately needs some strong exclusives ASAP to help sell the console, and Lair and Heavenly Sword become the first two casualties.
Good news for consumers.

It's a new IP, which had gotten bad reviews for the PC version not too long ago, from an unknown inexperienced developer, with little or no promotion or marketing hype.
Don't go around spamming, attacking and posting negative sh1ts about other people because you think you are online and hiding behind an anonymous screen name. Some time in the future, someone will come up with a new software tool that will be able to trace all your past online activities, comments and postings back to you and find out who you are.

The problem with most American products is that they generally have a very bad reputation overseas: they are expensive, have poor quality control, and are not durable. It's not because Asians are "loyal", it's because Americans have failed to compete -- it's your American pride that has prevented you from seeing or admitting that truth.

I have 70-80 game soundtrack CDs, maybe even more, (all orchestration or instrumental -- no pop music, rock-and-roll or oldie craps for me.)
Halo 3 is near the top, but not #1.
On the other hand, neither Final Fantasy (any of them) nor MGS deserves to be #1.
