Horrible idea. We don't want to bog down the process and scare away potential projects. The key to Kickstarter is its ease of use and simple concepts. Like an idea? Invest. Have an idea? Propose. No strings attached. What you're asking will make it incredibly annoying for small projects. Maybe, just MAYBE if a project hits or exceeds $1,000,000 but that is the only compromise I can see.

PS4 still has work to do, and NX is around the corner as a potential game changer, plus XB1 can (and hopefully does does) pick up steam to keep everyone on their toes. Competition is healthy.
That said, PS4 is currently king of the hill and will likely remain there (for me the deal was sealed with SFV exclusivity).

I hear LOTS of people defend Nintendo's hardware. The last time they had decent hardware was NGC but the MXB was still better. When did they ever run the show? SNES, I guess, though there wee stronger system back then they didn't pose a threat in mainstream.
