This is a problem because my current gen systems already can do 720, can do 720 up scaled and I'm sure there is likely some native 1080 as well. 1080 has been a standard for a very long time in PC and in HDTV.
Many people didn't have HDTV when the current gen released but they were built for it. Now that next gen is coming they are not even built for the standard HDTV setting? They should be able to pump out the standard HDTV setting for games without breaking a sweat...

Destiny is a huge game because of where you can go yes but it is still a just FPS. Its just another hit to the XB1 along with AC4 not being able to reach 1080. I hope they can fix this problem ASAP.
This is the 1st I heard of the AC4 rumor and in the article it mentions Destiny as well. Hopefully they can fix this problem for the next generation of games

Is the Ouya part of the 7th or 8th gen and are they still selling them?
The problem I have is they can not even play single player games without the update. He was banned before he could get the update. He didn't sign a NDA or a TOS agreement going for the video either.
It does matter if it is Microsoft or Sony or any other company, what they are doing is wrong.

You need the update to play games. The 1st guy got his day one update so he can play games offline.

When he turned the X1 on I and went through the steps I didn't see him accepting any TOS before he was banned.
It sucks though as if he got his system early he likely has games for it as well. All of which can not be used because his system is banned even before the day one update. So his X1 can't do sh*t
Edit: I want to see people using it out in the wild and not in a controlled environment that the media uses. Same goes with the PS4 as well.
If I could understand programming you can bet I would be tinkering around with it. I can build houses from the foundation to the roof and do everything in between but programming just escapes me.
I'm going to the PS4 midnight launch, its my 1st time going to one. The game I wanted was delayed (WatchDogs.) I bought Ghosts and another controller as I wanted a local multiplayer game to go along with AC4.
The stores around here, still don't have X1 kiosks...
As much as you and others want a Kinectless bundle, I just don't see it happening at all. Even after the launch their if there sales were nonexistent. I would see them dropping the price even below $300 and just taking a bigger loss per sale before they take the Kinect from the bundle. Kinect is just to integrated.
What features are left if they removed the Kinect from the bundle?
Maybe they have some overstock of the title in the NA region?
I'm planning on getting both but I only pre-ordered a PS4. It will be a year or 2 before I get a X1, after the exclusives add up. I waited till E3 to see which one I wanted 1st and then Microsoft made it easy with its DRM. 99% of the games I play and like are 3rd party games. Last gen I bought most of them on the 360 and this gen it looks like I will be buying them on the PS4.

WTF is this crap. If this happened to me I would be pissed, it wouldn't be my fault that I got it shipped early to me. I would be spamming some hate and seeing if I could take legal action.
Looks like I will be playing COD after all. I had skipped it because it didn't have 4 player local play but this is truly a great deal.
There are things I'm not happy about on all the consoles, more so on the XB1 but this is good news and explains that they just don't have the "day one patch" ready.
