I'm really excited about the setting of this one, it's fresh. I'm glad its not another WWII or WWI or Vietnam. kudos IW.

And its especially hot right now since sales are spiking after E3.
Is it great news? no, is it excessive? no.
It's just news, and not all news are worthy.
the system is finally getting the attention it deserves. I guess people took too long cause they were saving up, not to mention the awesome E3 keynote.

Blu-ray will outsell HD-DVD this holiday season... and I have a strong feeling that Universal, the only remaining excuslive supporter of HD-DVD, will announce their neutrality either by the holiday season, or early 2008.
Blu-ray is clearly dominant and only ignorant consumers are choosing HD-DVD over Blu-ray.
Blu-ray has:
Better capacity
Better studio support (by far)
Better copy-p...
The consoles are running out BECAUSE people are buying them. So people are experiencing the beauty of blu-ray games and movies. No doubt in my mind that ps3 is going to be the leading console in N.America by 2008's end.

The KZ2 screenshots look like they're taken from a video render of the gameplay rather than a straight feed screenshot. You can tell if you look closely, the blurriness of the image is not in-game, it looks like codec.

The colors are muted for a reason. The art style of KZ2 is desaturated and gritty. I always thought Gears needed that aswell. It's just way too saturated/colorful for the kind of game it is.
.. but man, this is horrifying. Imagine dying because of a stupid game. It sucks sucks sucks. And i'm very sorry for the parents who had to deal with it.
if by winner he means: ps3 will sell more than 360, then i think that'll happen even before march.
but if by winner he means: ps3 will have sold more consoles than 360, then i sort of doubt it. unless every ps2 owner asks his family to chip in for a ps3 instead of getting him gifts for xmas.
up until echochrome, portal was the most, of not only, innovative, original puzzler that i was excited about for ps3. and now we got two! It's gonna be fun.
i say make jade the main character, then maybe i'll buy Assasin's creed.
2 yrs ago, AC was my favorite game and i was excited about it the most, now somehow it's just slowly slipping to lower places on my list. I just hope they tighten up more:
1. less bugs
2. faster combat
3. less "glowy" people.
If they do that, i might just get excited about this game all over again.
rio, the only problem with KZ2 (which i think looks stunning by the way) is that it didn't have any playable demos for the audience. Also, there was much more detail shown on the gameplay for COD4 that made it so rich.
Don't get me wrong, i think KZ2 will be something special, but we should give some room for COD4 to enjoy the spotlight, Infinity Ward deserve it.
