I think that says more about the pricing in your country than anything else. I can pick up a pre-owned copy of SMG for less than £20. If you want to blame anyone, blame the game stores in your country.

I don't know if I agree or not Andrew, I loved both, it would be hard to choose between them. I think OoT is held in such a high regard (as it should be) that other Zelda games are not considered as great because of that fact. I would find it hard to choose between the two games on which one was better as I loved both of them.
Both are classics anyway.
But there is plenty of diversity of genre's in the industry. Shooters are just the most popular, but there are plenty of different sorts of games out there, it's not like they don't get made just because shooters are popular.
I never had a problem with the gunplay in UC, 1 or 2, although UC2 was obviously more refined. Getting headshots weren't that hard, and were satisfying when you did get them. It wasn't weak at all, it was half the fun of the game.

Well maybe I should have said in my own experience. It was bugs galore and system crashes. I tried it on the 360 as well when I had one and the performance was terrible, the framerate was so low it was like a slideshow.
