I think you're confusing the Famicom Mini with the NES Classic. The Japanese Famicom Mini (the subject of the headline) is temporarily canceled. The North American NES Classic (the subject of the description) is still permanently canceled.
Right, like the article says, he states that the game would likely suffer a downgrade in graphical fidelity and he makes it it sound like it would be a challenge to get it running on Switch.
Looks like Big Sky pulled it, presumably at Sega's request.
Weird
This happens every time there's a new Sonic game, lol. I look forward to three years from now when they're working on the next one and explaining how they screwed this one up but have finally figured it out.
Not a Mario fan?
Can anyone say it's definitively DOA if, as you say, no one knows if it's delivering what we want or not? I think it's a little more complicated than a definitive yes or no right now.
I think it's a very troubled console with a lot of challenges to overcome, but it certainly has some upside to it. We'll have to see if it can sustain these breakneck sales or not. To be honest, I think it's unlikely, and we're just seeing the Nintendo faithful rush...
The idea isn't that it's peaking right now. And you're right that it will absolutely be worth reassessing in one year's time. Who knows? Everything we think we know right now could be proven wrong with time.
But we're not one year in yet. We're one month in, so I can only talk about what's in front of us right now and judge it against what we've seen from Nintendo and its competition in the past. Studying past performance is useful in predict...
Cool
Heeeyyyy, I like Dodongo.
Reviews seem pretty mixed on this. I liked it at PAX but wasn't blown away by it.
How quickly we forget.
It needs third-party blockbusters. Badly.
Not even sure why, but I stopped playing this game like three weeks after release. Blame Overwatch, I guess.
It's been one year already?
Cool.
That trailer told us so little.
Meh.
That thing looks so much like the Mako, lol.
Should be a cool perspective.
