CD Project RED is a relatively small developer. They already admitted they didn't have the manpower to work on two totally different versions so they had to comprimise. The Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition is in development as we speak anyway. Cue all the haters. The game still looks better than anything on the market in this genre.

newer games actually do have fog or stuff like air thickness/pollution. TW3 and GTA5 do for example.
That's the beauty of PC gaming. A good developer tries to make his game future proof so it uses the power of even the best machines. I love to replay games a few years later down the line after I upgraded my PC with better graphics, more FPS, AA and such. That's another plus, PC will always be downward compatible.
It's fishy to believe one can objectively judge the differences with a compressed YouTube video.
A CPU is hardly the factor for higher framerates and the PS4 GPU already has 50% more rendering units and faster RAM than the XB1. There is a time where expectations just become unrealistic.
The high adoption rate this gen proves the 400$ strategy right. Noone owill own a 4k TV anyway for years to come and 1080p is completely sufficient for now.
As always the PC is the right choice for people who want a bit more.

People are ridiculous and spoiled brats these days. They don't appreciate all the work which goes into these games, don't have a clue about marketing and love to complain about everything. Internet is ruining gaming for me more and more.

I feel the same. It has nothing to do with Unity though, the gameplay simply didn't look interesting, the character looked unappealing and i simply didn't feel it.
