Agreed...i think Indiana Jones was much more of an influence than the TR games.

I think another big factor is the PC market which is quite big in Germany. There are no real reasons to own a XBox when you have a PC..the combination with PS makes much more sense! Was the same last gen already.

It may sound strange but imho aside from educational purposes VR shouldn't be overused by children anyway.
I tell you...if the experience is great enough people will pay anything. Although I trust Sony to price it sensibly I'm sure they will put up booths where people can try it out in stores..VR needs to be tried out to become a believer.
