I guess with the PS4 selling at a rate of 3:1 even before PSVR price announcement and MS's announcement to get most games on PC I'm not sure if there is that much competition involved anymore.

You are the type of person who would rather buy just another XBox for sure.
Their resolution is a bit better but the screens are inferior in tech..lower refresh rate and no sub pixels against the screen door effect.
Way?!! Better?! A tad better is more like it and they have inferior screen tech without the RGB sub pixels the PSVR has.
The PSVR has a superior screen even though the resolution is a tad lower.. Also room-scale VR will always stay very niche due to the fact one needs a dedicated room for it....just saying.

Truth is many have stated Sonys screen tech is superior to the Rift and Vive even at lower resolution. Make of that what you will.
