Pretty ignorant to the fact that Sony isn't abandoning PS4 but will continue to sell it, just with the opportunity of an upgrade for those who want it (which are quite a few).

I totally agree and am happy that stupid politically correct rating system and banning because of offensive words everybody uses all day are a thing of the past!
The opposite is the case. Don't you think Sony users would complian if suddenly their console is the only one without 4K output (for games) and less powerful than both competitors?!
It has been said already 4K display will be done by enhanced upscaling.
So you think it would be the better decision to leave the PS4 with a more powerful NX and an upgraded, more powerful XBox, even though that extra power was demanded by users all through that generation?!

Sam Lake admitted they didn't have the time and funds to do all those story scenes in CGI so they had to cut short.
MS is sadly an extremely capitalisticly oriented company which always gets in their way. UWP will just be the same fail like GFWL.
I always thought holidays 2016 sounded way too optimistic.

There simply isn't a way one could emotionally attach to and identify with filmic characters like you do with Joel and Ellie in 20+ hours of playthrough.
It's a great decision to keep PS4 relevant when NX releases, also MS works on a similar solution plus more power for VR and faster frame rates.
Such a shame though I guess no one is surprised after that GFWL mess.
