Im from Finland and I can say it't propably mostly due to high tax rates and such. Like Viper said, you can get the same movie in DVD format for 5-20 euro's whereas blu ray of the same movie costs a heck of a lot more.

Anything made using Unreal Engine 3 is a horror game. It's really horrific to play something that looks so inadequate for HD generation of gaming.
