What scarlett said is a valid point, But no where else during the time of launch did a PS3 game take the top-spot. Understood is the fact that it is a new system, but in the U.S. that didn't stop Gears of War from outselling any launch title for the PS3. With all the bad press the PS3 was getting with the EM chip being taken out and BC not being as robust, for PS3 software to nab the top-spot is really somewhat unexpected.
for it not to be in the charts if released is mind blowing. This is one of the best games ever released, period. All true gamers should go out and buy this game, it's f'n GREAT!!!!

but not make it true HD. I have a TVbox that upscale my resolution to 1440 x 900 (bascially the box lets me play my PS2/3 on a vga monitor) . But if done with A\V cable the color gets really washed out. It has to be done either by S-video or Component cables to get a good picture. I can also hook it up to any TV that has a VGA input. weather or not it give me true HD is not really a concern , it works for what I need it to do.

supply that is available to everyone who wants one can get one. Strong release titles, nobody went shooting like dumbass people did here in the U.S.. If you don't want the launch to interfer with your work week, go to work get paid cash your check come the weekend buy your PS3 and have fun all weekend before going back to work or school.
I wish that's the type of launch we would've had here in the states and then i wouldn't have missed 3 days of work to get one.
is trying to make this an all in one machine. Everything that the machine is capable of is great. But nobody really cares for Blu-ray movie playback. Sony online has been hit or miss. Somegames have great online service while others are just downright Sh*t. It's never been that much of a let down since I really don't do much online gaming but, everything Sony is trying to improve online for the most part is very much unproven.

They sold more then any other system except for the PSP. They did what every 360 fan swore will not happen. they had a successful launch and have only been outsold by their own product.
