he is correct 100% the wii control scheme is very good for most of the games out for the system right now, but if you took out that scheme those game are still playable not as enjoyable but still passable to kill some time.
I believe it will sell very will in the states, but it hasn't done anything to improve the sales in japan of the 360.
If this game can sell 1.5 million copies in the states Sakaguchi-san will keep making games for the 360. But it rest soley on the fans of a system that are more western geared than eastern geared.

This is in no way a death sentence. Didn't the 360 go through 5 months of shortage cause of faulty systems and Production problems, and the wii is still damn near impossible to find cause of production problems.

Add $20 + tax and fore go the Elite and buy a PS3. Real gamers don't need 2 version of exactly the same machine. Buy yourself a PS3, Get Motorstorm, VF5, even some old PS2 games that look worth playing, Bully, Okami and just play. If not just get a Wii and buy a HDD with the $480 it will be a much better buy then shilling out an extra $480 for a machine you already own.

I can see how consumers would be mad. Especially since the price to Up-grade the one part (Bigger HDD) that is most wanted by the consumer is nearly half the price of the System itself for early adopters.
the wii is all about easy to pick up and use. Throwing in feature that the big boys have or will soon have will just cause the average consumer to buy a big boy toy.
Seeing as tommorrow is April 1st, I'm gonna say April fools.

my point is Ubisoft is known for lazy ports. Last gen system porting should let anybody know that. The Xbox, Gamecube and PS2 all got different version of the game. SC2 or 3 can't remember. Ubisoft doesn't take their time to program for a system other then their primary build if it isn't easy enough. Splinter cell has always been an Xbox game first and foremost.
