XboxFun, MS was never going to give you Steam like prices. Get over it.
Steam was is better than what Xbox would have been. Steam is a service where you download games, so of course you need internet. But after you pay, you can play them offline. No 24 hr checks.
You can't compare Steam to the X1.
But this is pretty different. MS as spent money developing this. They know for a fact that if they release a kinectless X1, nobody will buy a Kinect. All of that money and time put into it will go to waste. It really wouldn't be a smart move.
