It only makes sense that the titles that lack quality don't make a profit.
Look at the sales of Luigi's Mansion. Quality game, and the sales reflect it.
The reason why cheap shovelware doesn't turn a profit is because it's CHEAP SHOVELWARE. The people don't want cheap, they want talent.
I don't think these kind of games should be free. MK and SF actually bring something to the table. Just be cause it's me screen doesn't mean it can't still be great.

There just isn't demand for n-Space games. They make games like Hannah Montana and Mary-Kate and Ashley.

Most of the indie games that were announced aren't even on mobile devices and some of these indie games won't even be able to run on mobile devices.
Indie doesn't always equal low budget 2d games.
Not many phones will be able to run games like Day Z.
