I'm only getting Gears 3 to finish up the story but that's the last game I'll be buying for the 360 thi year. The rest will be on PC and PS3.

I disagree based on the fact that your bullets against EA have nothing to do with the quality of MW3 against BF3. BF3 is the better game. Period. However, EA still knows that people flock to Call of Duty so they are going to do their best to get some spotlight time. It's business. Besides Activision is worse than EA.
Europe is a very pivotal territory for all of the companies and since Playstation is considered the dominant console outside of the UK, Sony wants to cement their place in the market-share while it is still viable. Nothing wrong with puffing your chest out a little.

That's a little worrying. I was going to get MW3 for my Xbox but get BF3 for PC and PS3 since EA seems to be supporting Sony while Activision supports Xbox. Guess I made the right decision.

the difference is one is an amazing game that was a definitive step-up from its predecessor and the other one was a jaw-dropping game that not only beat out the other in such categories as Best Graphics and Best Action/Adventure, but went on to be the overall GotY for 2009.

I love how the Xbox fanboys are flocking here claiming this as another great victory in the console wars. With the way the economy is, Konami is looking to make as much money as they can. If that means releasing previous Playstation games onto the Xbox 360 to make money, then guess what? They are getting released. After Valve even came over and found a way to get Steamworks to work between PS3 and PC, you have Activision saying they can't do it and it's a port? Your name says it all because it's universal that Reach is nowhere in comparison to other FPS such as Crysis 2, Killzone 3, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, etc. It was a decent looking game but please don't act like it's a graphical powerhouse especially when compared to other games such as Uncharted 2 or God of War III. Use some common sense.
