Being a PS owner, I can remember back in the day, waiting for that 'special ps3 firmware update' that might come and give us cross game chat... it went on for months and months... looking back it was funny.
Everyone on edge on IRC, etc. hoping for it.. me included :)

If they drop the price they have to drop a feature. That would be kinect I suppose (or obviously..).
If they come out and just reduce price, it would further the idea that it is an unwanted device and they are getting even more desperate.
I don't think they will do the latter.

It is very possible after the reversal of policy that some delays might have to happen.
software overhaul to start with... could be massive, could be simple.
Things have to change, takes time to do it, needs QA testing again and then games devs need to play againgst that code to test their code etc.... there is only a short amount of time till release.
Instinct and large corporate product based background tells me it could very well be delaye...

I don't think so. I would say most of us SONY fans are thankful for the situation being resolved, finally. It means that going forward the awful DRM on consoles will not blight anyone due to this turn of events.
