I'm probably the most scaredy cat of all, but I ended up reviewing both of those games. 0_0 eep!
Yep, that's exactly how I felt about it - hence the 85. I think that's pretty fair. Could it be better? Sure. Is it still pretty great? Yep! It's certainly a huge step up from its predecessors. 0_0
I'm hearing my friends saying they might buy a Wii U just for this bundle. Guess this is an ace for Nintendo.
Looks like the reviews for this one are ALL over the place.
The European PR firm Ubisoft had engaged gave tablets to journalists to ensure they could review the companion app. Lots of arguments of "they need this to review the game properly" and "that's too much -that's paying for a good review".
I submit this though...is giving somebody a tablet any better or worse than giving them 250 dollars in toys to review a game?
As a member of the press for over a decade and a half, I'm sur...
Got some lols in the video review. It may be Borderlands 2 all over again, but it sounds like it's gonna bring the laughs.
There is another side of this coin...it could be entirely Europe. I hit up a dozen of my fellow US press or so and asked if they'd heard anything like this (we all posted reviews for Mordor right at the embargo lift) and heard nothing of the sort. My email was a code, the embargo date and time, and a let us know if you have questions sort of deal.
For an example, when we had the Ubisoft hands out tablets with Watch Dogs thing, that happened in Europe. Seems like Euro...
Or they can be solved with a PC. If you are THIS hung up on resolution, buy the game on somewhere where the resolution is a dropdown.
I played it recently. Took me about 30 minutes, max to be used to it. Not sure why he thinks hours...
I've covered Nintendo when they didn't provide review copies. I've covered Nintendo when they do provide review copies. It's part of being a journalist. Unless you are "Planet Sony" or something, Nintendo is part of the landscape of gaming. This just smacks as a ride in the Waaaamubulance.
Which has what to do with the resolution exactly? I've played the game recently - it looks fantastic. But hey, if you two are willing to say "Yea, doesn't matter if the game is fun or looks good, if it's not 1080p, then I'm not gonna play it" then go nuts. Seems absolutely insane, but hey...
Just popped in here to say that Tom Nook is a slumlord prick. :) Seriously though, looks like a pretty cool game.
I really thought it would, but after maybe 15 minutes it was incredibly intuitive. It's a big change, but one that folds in neatly.
Yea, that's two in a row for Ubi. Black Flag's was pretty well done, and this one ups the ante.
My only real complaint with Mordor is that getting all the collectables doesn't give you anything. :/ Not even a stat boost...
I just wish Nintendo would at least LOOK at what others are doing in the online space.
Happy Birthday, cat. Glad to be a part of the community. :)
With a name synonymous with icky rituals, you betcha!
Sounds like one hell of an update for NBA 2k15!
My vote? K.K. Slider. Dude was too cool not to smash Mario over the head with his little guitar. :)
