As long as the development of a multiplayer component is genuine, doesn't affect singleplayer development whatsoever and can survive in the long run, then I would happily support it. But anymore, it seems developers need to realize they do not have to cram in multiplayer.
More importantly, those interested in Bioshock: Infinit (who isn't?) are going to want singleplayer DLC - not multiplayer DLC. As in the case with Tomb Raider, I am certain many fans would much pre...
Can't wait to see Beyond: Two Souls. I really do hope they have evolved their actual gameplay a bit more. I know a lot of people complained it felt like a game of QTE's, although I never said that ;)
I've heard Quantic Dream is also working on 2 other titles. Hopefully we see even more from them at E3 2013! Great news article btw.
I think it would be ideal of companies started open surveys years before implementing any major features that cost time and money.
For example, would you all rather have a much longer singleplayer experience, cooperative play, or multiplayer?
I personally think there is something unique there with the current multiplayer. Naturally, I have only had a few hours of quality time with it, but I am thrilled it isn't another FPS game (FPS fatigue - that's ...
I've never understood why online game magazines never update on the weekend. :/
These are some great deals. I just wish Saints Row the Third was $10 on the Xbox 360. :( Oh well...
I think it's going to be a very tight console race this time around. Sony does have a good game plan and we will see if they have something up their sleeve at E3 2013...
It is arguably one of the best looking games every created and I also cannot wait to see The Last of Us! :D
His previous career was a Magician. This is what they do. They lie all the time!
I recall this is the same company going through major layoffs...But I suppose all of them are at this time.
I love Codemasters, but it would be nice to see developers and publishers - that release content on all platforms - refrain from making such statements...I don't know how saying this would help Codemasters at all.
PS: What in the heck is up with this grammar? This is N4G people!
Same. Completely avoided Enslaved for the exact same reason. It was an okay demo and ended up being an average game. I really like what they did with Heavenly Sword though.
How about bad demos hurting bad games (or even good ones)?
For example: Kingdoms of Amalur demo was very rough around the edges. I am certain it didn't help them. It wasn't a beta, but labeled as a demo.
Another thing is open betas. Battlefield 3 has done extremely well (love the game btw) but I believe its beta was more like an alpha and probably didn't help its chances vs the big gorilla COD.
It's important to let gamers ...
Wow, this is hugely disappointing. I think their goal was way too high. I just wish GPG could've hired back its staff - that is the true tragedy in all of this.
I hope they find jobs elsewhere, but the gaming industry is so unstable.
Yeah, but it's Aliens. ALIENS!!! :D
How in the world are articles with such bad grammar getting approved? Is this google translator or something?
Anyway, Ubisoft irritated fans when they announced it for the Wii U. Now Nintendo fans are crying. Shouldn't have promised an exclusive. They should just keep franchises that are already multi-platform, ya know, multi-platform. New IP's have the right to first-party titles, so as not to upset the hardcore fan base. But established IP's going first-pa...
I'm sorry, but with 2 new consoles on their way that are boasting games like The Witcher 3 (larger than Skyrim, no load times), Watch Dogs, MGS: Ground Zeroes, Dark Souls 2, and each has their very own exclusives to boot, its really not looking great for the Wii U. In addition, I am beginning to notice a lot of gamers are growing up...
I never, ever imagined SEGA to be just a software publisher, but look at them now. I hope that Nintendo keeps going tough and perhaps th...
I wonder if Microsoft is paying them to support Kinect...? You know, there are bonuses thrown around for supporting such a device.
What would be even better - but unlikely - is the ability to choose: the reliable controller for what seems-to-be an awesome-looking game or the crappy Kinect. But if Microsoft wants that game to say "Only with Kinect," then well...
I think it all comes down to one thing: How Nintendo thinks their projected earnings will fair against 2 brand new, next-generation consoles (that, in my humble opinion, could also double as DVR's, etc). It all comes down to the big announcements.
Then I think Nintendo will decide for timed exclusives or not. There's so many huge companies of old that are now gone. In this day and age, it comes down to survival a lot of the times.
Me personally? ...
I think it just needs to be said: LucasArts, everyone wants Star Wars: Battlefront 3!
There's a Facebook campaign called "Who Else Wants Star Wars Battlefront III?" and it has over 28,000 Likes. It's incredible.
Anyway, I hope that Disney starts pushing out some high-quality Star Wars games of all types - especially Battlefront 3.
If the manage to make it open world, that would be incredible. They've always been good with level design and the feeling of exploration. It would be absolutely amazing to see a Halo-Star Wars mixture in an open-world environment, with light RPG elements, coop, and competitive multiplayer.
Might be too ambitious, but when Activision compares it to the Call of Duty franchise out of the gate, it makes you wonder if they are pushing a huge budget on behalf of Bungie...
Square-Enix in particular has some great crossover possibilities. DLC in Sleeping Dogs has shown just that. It would be interesting to play Sleeping Dogs 2 and have Agent 47 appear throughout the game. I just think Sleeping Dogs is gritty enough to pull it off.
