The day games go all digital is the day I stick to retro. I refuse to support all digital even when a movie comes out I still buy the blu ray. Even if they do crack down all a person needs is an Everdrive and a regular old school machine. Or modify a disc based console that has a dead laser to boot off an SD card. Some of those illegal devices look neat and some of them are just plain crap.

Problem is the all digital Series X is late to the party Microsoft should have released it over the Series S when the Xbox Series was launched. Other problem is Microsoft dropped the ball with it comes to the storage. They made it proprietary instead of following Sony when it came to storage. Hence why Microsoft storage and storage card are expensive.
They are releasing three new sku's an all digital Series X, a 2tb Series X and a Series S. Kind a hard to pop up a mid cycle upgrade with all these models coming out. I would be curious to see if Microsoft does release an Series 1X but I highly doubt they will release one. I'll shy away from the PS5 Pro and besides the disc drive alone is selling out every where. And that is mainly what my games are on is disc. I honestly don't pay attention to game reviewers. I prefer to watch the game play then base a judgement from there on whether I want the game or avoid the game. Did I have a PS4 pro when it came out? No. Did I enjoy my PS4 slim? yes. Do I enjoy my PS5 slim? Yes. Will I get a PS5 pro? No. With the price of the console and disc drive I am at $1100 it's unaffordable. That $1100 Canadian can be applied else where when needed.

It's up to the person, their personal preference, and what their budget dictates. If they can get and only afford a PS5 then buy a PS5. If they can afford a PC then buy a PC.

I like the Black Panther shame Chadwick Boseman passed on. But I am not holding my breath when it comes to EA and a Marvel game.
