Except that Pokemon Snap was release in the US over 10 years ago. The formula is no longer new. Not that it really was then either.
I like some of the newer features this game has though, it seems like it could have been cool.

That's a good point, I wondered about that too. These manufacturers probably wouldn't be too happy if you could do anything and everything to their cars, I always assumed that's why Gran Turismo games never had damage either. Personally I'd be fine without any damage at all, but I'll take what I can get.

Crashes are okay IMO, could definitely be better. Rollover is pretty clunky too.
