Here is the litle fact, 3D is not only a gimmick, but compromise the gameplay so game's perfomance as a whole.
Why would you even want to play a game at half its perfomance when you can experience the full blown package as the dev intended it to be played like?
Right, 3D add immersion, but brother gotta do some shit on your while it is at it, anyway, 3D can go and suck it off so people asking for it on the NGP, nintendo should of stuck with some graphics ...

The golden question, was the DS hacked? no, but modified through a custom card which didn't impact as it did installing homebrew on the PsP.
So no, it won't be hackable the way the PsP was, no pandora battery to access the XMB plus proprietary cards = No this time.
Yes there may exist a custom R4 or something alike in the future, but things like these can be pointed out pretty easy, just like nintendo did with the R4 issue.

Did I said otherwise? that was my remark dude, capable of running the same game if not better at given sub-par resolution, it is pretty much possible, emulating it though? was too exited :D.
No to mention NGP posses a even better GPU and may also RAM, so expecting a better AI and environment too.
