I, too wish I'd have the hardware to play this in 4k... I might barely get 1440p at 15fps.
And mods. The stuff people did in GTA IV was outstanding... So far it looks like GTA V won't be a terrible port, meaning there's even more potential. Too bad it's only coming next year :(
Oh well, at least I will soon have it on PS4 to keep me entertained until then.
The core game in my opinion is fine. But technically the game is absolutely horrible from framerate to camera angles and from black bars to AI. Might be just a piss poor PC port which causes most of my problems but still I was disappointed with the game.
Well, it's sure as hell a better pre-order bonus than a mission or two chopped off from the main game. Actually, in my opinion small pre-order bonuses like this and physical goodies are something I'd like to see more of, not just stuff like extra money/boosts and such that just make the game easier or chunks of content from the main game.
Differences like 720p to 900p and to 1080p in resolution is noticeable. But it shouldn't really matter when buying a console. No one buys a console because they're the latest and greatest powerhouses. That's what you'll get a PC for. Framerate though, that's what should matter. After playing TLOU in 60fps everything 30 feels just bad
For PS4 I really like the titles. BoI especially. I don't mind both being indies since it's still fairly new console.
But the PS3 games have dropped in quality. Not just retail games every month anymore, now it has become more and more indies only. Still nothing wrong with indies but PS+ used to be so much more

So at the PS3 era we paid for the games. Now that more stuff is added behind the paywall the games they give away are only "perks" and not the main focus therefore they can be lesser quality than before?
Besides, I hardly play multiplayer anymore. Still I pay for PS+. The games' quality might not be important to you but they're for me the reason I keep paying for PS+

Eh, compared to most of EU you guys have it good in US.
I think the opposite really... Story is probably not too interesting but the gameplay looks fun and that's where the game really shines.
Well just have to wait and see though.

PS3 had a game or two at 1080p & 60FPS. (Wipeout HD and I think also GT5 for example) It just is a decision whether they want to improve the resolution and framerate or something else like AI, physics, etc.
Technically every game out could be 1080p and 60fps on both consoles but the devs just prioritize other things.
You too can deal with subpar multiplats and less exclusives. #PCMasterRaceHashtag
Advertising really is the core of selling games... Unfortunately, we saw how well Destiny and Watch Dogs sold with all the marketing hype they had. (Although they weren't BAD games, they were just 'ok'. Still, they sold that much only because of the marketing, not because the game was great)
But this game looks great and if it sells well we might see more games like this instead of the usual. So basically, great that they're marketing a game like this.

I don't think it would sell. People don't buy consoles because they are powerful. When the average consumer would compare X1, PS4 and the 'beefed up console', they would see that one costs almost double than the others. So what would be the point in buying that?
And then there's the well-informed consumer who knows that the new console is more powerful and why it would matter. But he would likely also know he would get the better treatment on PC for simila...
