IGN did reduce the game's score by quite a lot because of the problems it had. Its just that the people, unsurprisingly, started bashing IGN because of the lower score than what most sites gave the game and the review wasn't taken seriously by most people.
The problem is that people are used to Hayter. Sutherland was in my opinion a better voice actor judging from GZ
From what I've understand this is actually true but the court part is this site's satirical extra. The girl in the article is an actual game reviewer and actually contacted the mothers. The kids taking it to the court is satire
Ok, they have good points. A decent review.
I think the most people complaining are old subscribers who got games like Red Dead Redemption, Bioshock Infinite & 2 and Uncharted 3 and now that the service is 90% indies 10% retail games people are pissed off for the overall quality of the service dropping
It still is in my opinion worth the price, it's just not as good as two years ago. But, it's mandatory which makes me hate it
Hey, don't laugh. Dark Souls 2 will soon release "graphics and more players in multiplayer" -DLC. Tree animation DLC isn't that far fetched.
Eh, since either one of them can keep a stable 30fps it doesn't really even matter.
What the hell? I double posted basically the same thing 2 comments down? I thought I pressed edit. Oh well.
Anyway I was talking about the article trying to twist this into being a bad thing.
I agree with the article - about the fact that the requirements are rising. But the article is trying to say that it, for some reason, is a bad thing. That is bullcrap. More of that in my second comment down below.
Pretty noticeable framerate drops on PS4 when driving around fast or flying in helicopters or planes. Same thing on Xbone, not as bad though.
This article is ridiculous.
First: "What happens in console gaming can drastically affect the PC industry, causing sudden and UNWELCOME upward shifts in system requirements."
How is it unwelcome exactly? This just means that the last gen consoles had been holding back the potential of PCs. This just means that the games are getting better and prettier. How can you make it a bad thing?
Second: Using Far Cry 4 and Assassin's Creed: Unity a...
How is this a bad thing? Journalism... I mean, the reason the requirements get higher is because the games are usually first made for consoles, then ported to PC. When the games get bigger and prettier thanks to the new consoles, the PC requirements naturally rise since also the PC ports will be bigger and prettier when they aren't ported from 8 year old hardware. If anything, this tells that games are getting better.
I wish that the game journalists would do their homew...
Different people prioritize different things. There's a lot of non-casual gamers on console too but it's more casual as in I doubt the casual market is large on PC because of the hassle.
I'm not going to say anything about the standards of PC games... I think majority plays at higher framerates and graphics than current gen consoles but I'm not 100% sure. So I'll leave that to that.
And the PCs can be a huge pain in the ass. Once I spent h...
There's only so much that optimization can do. The games will look better 3 years later but it won't match the PC standards at the moment.
The real question should be that does it matter? Consoles aren't aiming to be powerful. They're affordable little machines for the casual market that can play the latest games with decent graphics. Even the games like TLOU and GTA V on last gen consoles look pretty bad by the PC standards. Didn't stop them from being am...
I wish there'd be a Skyrim-like huge AAA Game of Thrones RPG. There hasn't been a good Game of Thrones game yet and even though this is the first such game, it will 'only' be a Telltale game... Even though I do love Telltale's previous games
They confirmed it in the PS BLOG US' s comments that this is not the Black Friday sale.

Comment 17. That'll be proof enough
Deadly Preminition is really dividing opinions, it's weird really. Others think it's one of the best of the genre, others say it's complete crap. Can't wait to see for myself.
Only Injustice and Titan Attacks doesn't really interest me personally but overall this is a great month
It's confirmed 6 players in one session so that's one of the new stuff I'm really waiting for. But I'd like to know if on consoles you could see other players' character's names instead of their PSN or XBL username. That's the thing that always made me envy the PC version, character names didn't mean anything on PS3 and 360. Also, if the game is 60fps, this is a must buy to any Souls fan. And I love that the PC users get a free upgrade, not like Deus Ex for exa...
PSN store has gotten some decent sales during the last year or so. The regular pricing just sucks, I could get new retail titles for 50€ physically when they're asking for 70€ digitally (on console that is).
The physical market would pretty much be dead if digital games' prices on consoles would be around the Steam prices. And that's what I think the Gamestop is afraid of. But since the consoles aren't pricing their games like that, I don't see the problem...
...lol.
The dev gets ~70% of the game price per sale when a game is sold on Steam. When a game is sold physically the devs get ~40%. And on console the devs make even less when a game is sold physically, don't know about digital sales. And you're saying Steam is ripping them off? Hah.
Wow, that's incredible. To be honest I thought that Sony's Project Morpheus was going to be a failure since VR requires a LOT of power. Waiting forward to seeing how they are able to do it
