mass effect never had a release date untill the january on was announced. i think its the same with Alan Wake but they may have delayed that. But if thats your logic then i can easily say GT5 has been constantly delayed.
blame activision. they made all the deals like the limited edition 360 model ( cant believe the article didnt mention it), they chose what gameplay footage to use, and they chose to make a deal with MS for timed exclusive map pack deals.

yes but that was different as bioshock 1 was released only 6 monts later (i think). ME1 was never released on ps3. 2 different situations.

thats a whole new game with its own story, protagonist, and new locations. Mass Effect 2 is continuing exactly where ME1 ended. there will be a lot of confusion if you havent played the first game

anyone else think they should just shorten the name to metal gear rising? it would seem fitting since its a whole new game, protagonist, and dev team. Metal Gear Rising just sounds cooler than Metal Gear Solid: Rising.
on topic- i think its great that kojimas confident with a whole new dev team. itll definitely help the great games keep on rolling out with a fresh team to compliment the tried and true MGS team
