I've been wondering how well the non-traditional ones have done (commercially). This seems to indicate "not so well".
Yeah since Kalypso took over the franchise they've been coming out with new games and DLC like clockwork.
I think you have failed to notice that 1) it is part of a series, this would be part 2, and also that Hooked Gamers is a PC focused site. For PC gamers, these ARE games that will define 2013.
The real question is, who cares? Anyone still playing D3? And if they are, do they want PvP?
I agree, 2012 was disappointing, at least when you look at the big publishers. Check the "year in review" link on the awards page, it is mentioned there, as well as an explanation.

If you look at the older shots (from when the game was only title "Mars"), it's a vast improvement in both graphics and art direction.
Without official word, it remains speculation, but I don't think it would be good for EA if they'd claim vids they don't actually own. Youtube is rather difficult/uptight about the claiming process. So I'm confident that this one will turn out to be true.
And several hundreds to do not.
I must admit, I'm starting to like this game. I usually don't like cell-shaded, but this is starting to look awesome.

I agree that you can write a fairly decent review on the current code (it's already polished better than many a game deemed fit at its release date) but when you do, at least WRITE SOMETHING.
The version on Steam thus far is not the final version that will be released today.
