That still doesn't explain why it isn't on 3DS Virtual Console, the Virtual Console I'd expect it to be on.
When me and my family were at disneyland earlier this year I kept thinking about how awesome a real life Nintendo Land would be.
Instead of the Haunted Mansion it's Luigi's Mansion, instead of Star Tours (the Star Wars ride) it's something relating to Star Fox. Then maybe there could be some rides that aren't cheap ripoffs.

I really like what they're doing here. They're using brighter colors to be more faithful to the original games of the characters.

Seriously, why did Sakurai decide to put Wii Fit Trainer in. That's perfectly fine with me but it's really weird. When I 1st saw it on the site I thought of the possibility the site was hacked.
I have two theories:
1. They were out of character ideas and they had 1 slot left. So they just said "How about the Wii Fit Trainer?"
2. They wanted to make the game more interesting to casuals. Which may also be why Animal Crosser is...

My theory is that this is the easy multiplayer Mario game to hold us all over until the real 3D Mario game is ready.
Maybe I should tell you why then. Rewatch the trailer. Before the Mega Man part you see one logo, and then it splits in half. I don't see why they'd put so much effort into logos they aren't gonna use.
Even if you ignore that, it seems odd they wouldn't just say "Super Smash Bros." if they didn't have a title yet.
Call me crazy but I'm convinced the titles are actually "Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS" and "Super Smash Bros. for Wii U".
Picture 18 gives the implication that you actually will be able to change your character's look.
I always found it bizarre how Zero is in that game but not Mega Man. That be like if SSB had Pichu but not Pikachu.
