The article seems a bit negative. Calling Sony's reasoning "(somewhat) reasonable" is kind of ignorant because what Sony says does make a ton of sense. I would feel very stupid and a bit annoyed if I already owned a PS Camera and had to buy another one. So it's just logical that Sony releases the PS VR without it. Also it also makes sense for them to only announce the price for the standalone PS VR as it is the lowest. That will be the price in all the headlines, that will b...
Xbox is trying to sell this as a move of good will but it really is them being desperate.
It's a port, nothing more, nothing less. It is disappointing but ther ewill be players who will get the exact same game once again. And for Capcom it's a smart move because it's pretty much free money sinc eporting it doesn't really cost them a lot.
Imho it's sad and I'll stay away from it and try to keep my love for the franchise alive. Buying this would probably break my heart because Capcom is treating the franchise with very little respect and yes ...
The article is ok, but I think the author gets one thing extremely wrong. His assumption is that Sony intends to hire the studio and basically take over Lionhead and turn it into a Sony studio: "[...] [T]he Lionhead team has worked with Microsoft since 2006. Being at Sony is going to be a completely new environment for them and the team is going to require time [...]."
Now while this is an option in theory I'm sure this is not Sony's intention. What usually ...
Yeah, because nobody ever asked for the Appearing Offline feature, or Remote Play on PC/MAC or Friends Online Notifications. /ssssssssssssssssss
Seriously, how doe san article like this even get approved? It's pure clickbait, the topic is stupid, the writing is bad, the website is bad. What's the point in approving this?
Oh, and in before someone says it's an opinion piece. That doesn't justify such a bad article being on this site.
I'll give this doorway a 3 out of 10. It looks nice but you can block it.
This will be a tough pick.... or not. Lol.
No offense but Battleborn is really not good and getting the chance to play ALL of Overwatch during the beta, a super fun looking game that has already received great feedback from the past couple of press events and tests I'm really sure that nobody with half a brain will play Battleborn isntead of Overwatch.
Battleborn is destined to be one of those games that will be dead on arrival and I, and many others, don...
Lol. This "not very smart person" says No Man's Sky looks stale while he is working as the marketing manager over at icejam games who are making free-to-play mobile games. Talk about stale, right?
It seems really weird and why they do this now, i have no idea.
Yeah, the article is a bit misleading and doesn't get the names right for some reason. But well, at the time it was still a part of Sony, but yeah, it still doesn't make sense.
No official word yet but last time it took 4 weeks from the launch of the Beta to the launch of the official release (September 2 3.00 Beta, September 30 3.00.).
I'd expect a similar timeframe.
Well since you are not in the Beta all you could do is wait.
This doesn't change the point of the quotes though. Again, it's just words and no actions yet.
If I said I will give you a dollar and then you'd tell me that you want the dollar and not just my word for it and I'd respond by telling you that I'll give you that dollar for sure wouldn't really be that helpful now, would it.
A picture of Black Ops 1 which is a Treyarch game, REALLY?!
Someone is really misinformed and has no idea but read something that would give him clicks so he trew together such an amazing article. Good job.
Two quotes from the article for you:
"[...] I need to give credit to Microsoft folks, especially Phil Spencer, for always being willing to listen to Epic’s concerns with UWP’s paradigm, and to proposed solutions. Because they listened very patiently, I hoped and believed that Microsoft would do the right thing, but here we are. Microsoft’s consumer launch and PR around UWP are in full swing, and this side of the story must be told."
"Microsoft’...
The comparison to iOS stinks as iOS is an operating system by Apple that is only used by Apple for their products. Windows is an operating system by MS used also used in none-MS products.
Anyway, what this basically comes down to is MS finally abusing their dominance of their operating system to make more money off of PC games to. In the long run they will/want to be the entity that nobody gets around. I don't know why people are ok with that. But all the euphoria about X...
He is not talking about first party games though. Of course they can be exlusive to their store just like EA publishes their games on Origin.
Good article, but it is so weird to see that some people either didn't take the time to read it all or didn't understand it. So many comments saying that we should be happy that MS finally supports PC games and so many talking about Xbox and whatnot or Steam still being on Windows 10... I don't even know what to tell them and I bet that MS is really happy about those people.
Because the prices on steam are so high, yeah...
While this would be ideal for the consumers I don't think it is ideal for the product as you want to advertise the lowest price you can because that is what people are going to be talking about.
Announce ONE price to not confuse the non-gaming people and only that price will be in people's heads and that's the price everybody will use to compare it to other VR headsets. More prices and bundles equals more confusion so I support them in announcing them bit by bit b...
