As long as it runs on a closed platform it is still a console. The day you can install and run Steam/Uplay/Origin on a piece of hardware that has the Xbox brand on it what you say will be true, but I doubt that day will come because MS still wants the money from third party game sales.
PSX maybe, doubt the PCSX2 devs would port to it UWP. Even then most rather have them focus on improving performance and developing things like mipmapping in hardware mode.
Really it is, more JRPGs is always great. Though I wonder why the PS4 version isn't guaranteed a port.
MS isn't creating the emulators.
It actually does look a lot better so far.
Here's a more in-depth overview. ( https://www.youtube.com/wat... ) The only thing I'm disappointed by so far is that all characters seem to have the same basic Ki Blast (though they did apparently change it when it is charged), a minor complaint but one that I would love to have the ability to customize.
Given you think it should release in 2018, being on the PS5 is not an unrealistic guess considering this generation will be shorter than the last one (I'm guessing the PS5 will be at least announced in 2018), the release of the PS Neo will most likely be the half way point.
I don't think they'll prevent people from using it for Porn, it is just that I'm sure they don't want to advertise that it can be used for that.
Well, if there is a media player (which I believe there is) and if you have it on a USB I doubt Sony could stop you. They can't control what you play on it from that point, they can only control what they sell. Unless they lock it to using only content bought from the PSN which would seem stupid imo.
According to the Devs you can ( https://twitter.com/Technom... )
It is a B-Budget "Epic" RPG, like Mass Effect and The Witcher. It is not nearly as good, nor should it be expected to be, but if you go in accepting that it won't be the same high quality you can get an enjoyable experience. I'm a few hours into Technomancer and I find it enjoyable (6-7/10) and if you have played any of Spiders' other games I can tell you I find it to be a big improvement over them. That said unless there is nothing else for you to play now, I would s...
Now this is defiantly true, an unoptimized mess. That aside you can't even download the game anymore aside from pirating it thanks to GFWL. The only legal way to purchase it now is on a physical disc and even then you can't really get all of the DLC.
@Hoffmann
That's also because there is an extremely small interest in emulating the original Xbox (many of its exclusives were also on PC), combined with the fact that I believe it also very hard to emulate (I think I've read it is as hard to emulate as the PS3, but again without the drive to make it happen).
Depends on your budget.
Here are three builds from PC Gamer ( http://www.pcgamer.com/best... ) Though I think $2000 is ridiculous, you'd be better off mixing and matching different parts with different prices for a mid range build.
You can also browse ( https://pcpartpicker.com/) which has user made builds.
It probably could, just not at Ultra settings. Which is most likely what MS will do here, run games at Medium settings, or possibly higher, and use 4K as a marketing term to sell it.
Obvious troll is obvious.
MS could also partner with Razer and bring OSVR to Xbox.
You should really wait a week and get an RX 480, pretty much the same price of the 960 (unless it's significantly different in Ireland) but with much better performance.
@Garethvk
Mad Max maybe? Got repetitive after a while but still enjoyable.
Yeah, honestly that looks like what it's worth. It most certainly does not look like a game that had a 4 million dollar budget.
Because they still want money from third party games, which makes Sony and MS the most money, with the exception being there maybe their most touted exclusives i.e. Halo, Uncharted . If they just started producing normal PCs with an unadulterated Windows 10 OS they could not control the platform, people could install Steam/GOG/Uplay/Origin and they would lose those sales, MS doesn't want that.
Also, there's the fact that, even though it is not really difficult, man...
