The price is very good but I expect a sales increase for about a month and then the juggernaut Wii will take over sales again by a huge margin. BTW no the 360 will not outsell the Wii due to the price drop, nothing will ever make that happen so deal with it people. -_-
Will be very interesting to see how sales go, I am actually hoping the 360 beats PS3 sales in EU for Christmas so that Sony get another kick in the teeth telling them that this is no longer the PS2 era.
For consumers this is very good, it will cause Sony to react but the question will be with what, a price cut or a barrage of high budget games.
Last Remnant is an RPG which looks like it was made by the worst SE team they have and when you see that the "big guns" are making FFXIII and Versus it only backs up my statement.
You and many other people need to realise that here in Japan, we do not pick up a RPG for the sake of it as the game required quality. LR is anything but quality, White Knight Chronicles is arriving in December so LR will be over shadowed anyway.
Yuu think FFXIII will be impressive, just wait for DQIX to release and then you will see numbers which will make FFXIII look tiny.
Honestly nothing can help 360 in Japan expect 2 thing, DQ or FF being exclusive to the system. If that happened then the 360 would be big in Japan but it will never happen, MS can big into there wallets all they want but SE will not want to alienate there fanbase.
Really is looking good for for Sony, add one FF Agito coming to PSP, KH, RE 5 early next year and no number of price cuts will help 360 in Japan.
What a phenomenon this franchise is, Nintendo know they struck gold when there latest DS Pokemon game sold 15 Million.
This will never happen, for one people are under the impression that the Wii only sells better then 360 due to price, did not happen in Japan or EU and cannot see the USA being any different.
Could very well happen but no way will the game have the popularity of Singstar, that franchise has done very well for Sony. Once the 'next gen' singstar releases Lips is done for.

Nintendo have done great this generation and this will not change any time soon. The prime example of there power will be shown when Wii music releases, a failed concept considering Rock Band and Guitar Hero is out there but it will sell more then the other 2, I can bet money on that.
Price is not everything, just look at the 360 sales in EU after the price cut occured. Not everyone picks up the cheapest object available and some forget that quality is what matters.
Did you parents pick up the month old baby food because it was in the bargain bin?
This game is actually the most important title Sony has in Japan, if it has the desired effect then say hello to many new huge JRPG.
