The MLAA used in GOW3 doesn't have a visible blurring of the lines and this is the most improved form of MLAA. The one used in the Saboteur noticably blurred the image in places but this was improved upon by the GOW3 devs and the only artifact remaining is a slight "grain" effect that appears on the edge of SOME HUDs and only SOMEtimes.
can hardly be credited with getting a game to run at 1920x1200 @ 60fps with 16xAA. Hardware companies like ATI/Nvidia however, can be credited with this. PC devs hardly optimise their games at all, it's being more and more left down to consumers to buy stupidly expensive equipment in order to run games well, hence why crysis was a laughing stock. gow3 & kz2 & uc2 & heavy rain - only bettered graphically by crysis, even I can admit that and I have a gaming laptop and desktop.

It was a crap game but pretty to look at. Plus it's pretty much unplayable unless you have a £1500 computer. The gfx are crap unless you do too, so essentially you pay all that money to just look at it.

They only did a few things anything new, but excelled in everything games before them had done well and created stellar games, the BEST games of this year. UC2's taken home at least 30 awards so far, killzone 2 has taken none less than 10. I mean, Killzone 2's rotating multiplayer objectives were groundbreaking and made every other MP before it look crap without it. In addition there was the fps cover system it did very well. Uncharted 2's multiplayer coop and treasure modes are revolutionary...

nah. But for 500 odd youd have yourself a really good gaming rig that could destroy most games out there. However if you want a crysis killer youre still going to have to pay for a 2.8+ ghz dual core (as crysis runs best on dual cores, its not optimised at all, especially not for quad cores/i7's) and youll need an ATI 5970. apart from GT5, as GT5 is huge and after ODST and halo wars halo fans will probably not want to get shafted again. Plus there's GOW3 which is a much more quality-driven franchise than halo and has garnered millions of fans for it being the pinnacle of the hack n' slash genre, halo not so much, theres half life, doom, call of duty and more that come before it in terms of defining its genre, think GT5 with racing simulators.

360 owners have been aching for something as good as k2 graphically for almost a year, you say the same thing at every fps game that comes out, hasnt come true so far has it :)
PC for multiplats and PS3 for the exclusive and top-rated games (unless you want to sacrifice a minimal jump in visual quality for a larger jump in ease of access to the game and fun while playing, if so then get the ps3 version, thats how I choose :D)
