4 moves is nifty and all but very limiting. Only a simpleton would argue it should never be changed. I'm not new to pokemon either I swept pvp quiet often and even kept a cloister to stave off lvl 1s
I personally like the weighty gun mechanics. Set it apart from twitch shooters that run rampant today.
Honestly at this point tons of pokemon would have so many more options if they got rid of the 4 move syndrome. Maybe add a debuff to each move past 4 in an attempt to put in an overall mastery and efficiency for each move.
Shadowfall was a huge letdown for me since it was one of the first ps4 games I got. Not a bad game, but not particularly a good sequel
