Actually total war games tend to mostly shoot for historical accuracy. Aside from warhammer the historical time periods are what make the games fun. Shogun 2 and its 3 different era's it had were all distinct and pretty great in their own right. Theres a few less than accurate units like say gladiators in rome 2(gladiators would just be thrown into regular unit formations like any regular soldier) but those are few and far between

Soldiers and very small specialized units yes. However a 50:50 split is just absurd, and as far as Romans go there were 0 female generals. Also this really wouldn't even be a big deal if the game wasn't over 4 or 5 years old and they just now patched this in.
Total war is usually about historical accuracy. Rome 2s era never had female generals. Really the only factions that should even have women at all on the field would be northern men. Not sure what the hell they were thinking.

Typically I buy physical for any console. However digital is a must for pc which also doesn't bother me either way.
I've always had a pc, sony and nintendo platform in one for or another simultaneously. If ms ever fully supported their systems I'd likely own of theirs too
Its nice to see devs who make good games actually use some of their extra funds and inject it into new projects instead of just pocketing it like a good portion of current devs do. Bethesda comes to mind as the later.

Yeah a day or 2 ago. I mostly agree with people who are pissed since this games 5 years old and the devs basically told people deal with it. An option to turn this off/on in a patch wouldn't of bothered most of the people who are mad.
