Totally agree that street dates shouldn't be broken, the publisher has release dates there for a reason and some retailers just flaunt the fact the R* have to ship copies early enough to guarantee stock.
Personally with games like this I much prefer to head out to a midnight release, grab the game and a few free goodies while chatting to others about said game....
It sold 4 million in 6 months, this is apparently not enough...
Wholeheartedly agree with the above comments, it's certainly a sad state of affairs when developers feel they need protecting from the very people they basically work for....
Regardless though we are in this sorry state and I for one strongly support this initiative, devs are people too and deserve the right to civilised conversation and CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM rather than threats and rants. If only an initiative to reform gamers temperament existed....
As much as I enjoyed Fez I have to admit the Phil Fish is a complete t**t!
He overreacts to every bit if criticism thrown at him and just cannot handle the stress this industry throws at people, you would think that after everything he's been through he would have hardened to a degree.
And cancelling Fez II is nothing but damage to himself, the world won't come to a stand still just because he has cancelled it, even so the game buying public shouldn...
Why are people expecting all this cross gen stuff?
First it was party chat on 360 and Xbone, now this...
It's never happened in the past so why now?
It WILL happen there is no question and despite what people thing it WILL also happen with Sony (maybe not the PS4)
DRM is the only way this industry can move forward, Microsoft tried to ease everyone into it but went about the announcements completely wrong, The only way we will have a digital future is through DRM and along with that must come online check-ins, Steam has it, Origin has it and Android is adopting it.
Microsoft shouldn't have fudged it, c...
BF4 for me, have really struggled to enjoy the last few CoD's...
-_-
Yes to access cloud features you'll need a connection even for single player games.
The games that are using it so far have tended to be multiplayer only titles like Titanfall for example although Forza 5 uses it first asynchronous multiplayer but you can play that without the cloud if you like
No the cloud is thankfully still there, Titanfall wouldn't work without it.
This is the only feature of the X1 that genuinely gets me excited now that family sharing etc has gone...
I can't help but feel this is actually a step backwards for M$.
I saw what they were trying to do in the bigger picture of things and I ended up genuinely excited that for once a console wasn't going to simply be an upgrade but instead push the boundaries of this industry. The problem is that we as gamers are so ingrained input way of doing things that anything different (even if it is groundbreaking) just feels counter intuitive to us.
The thing is t...
This is crap, the only X1 demos running on PC's are the multiplatform games which means they are on PS4 too and will be released on PC, the exclusives are running on X1 demo kits...
See that's not a problem for me as I can understand the decision behind it, most fighting enthusiasts tend to stick to just a couple of characters so in that respect the game could end up being very cheap...
Wow.
That is an insane result so far....
Personally I'm still so undecided, I love my 360 and I'm so invested in the M$ owned IP's that it's difficult to tear myself away but at the same time the steps M$ are taking to ensure we can't do things with the games we own are just dirty...
It's a shame because I REALLY REALLY want Killer Instinct but not if I have No friends to play it with!
I will eventually get both but for me despite the DRM and used games issues it was plain to see that M$ are still committed to quality titles so I'll be grabbing the X1 at launch plus I feel committed to see the current Halo trilogy through.
I think I was swayed the moment that Killer Instinct logo popped up :)
Really excited for this but I get the distinct feeling that those buying on current gen are going to be left disappointed. There isn't a hope in hell that the gameplay shown is current gen standards my betting is that as with BF4 and Watch Dogs this will be a multi gen release and as with BF4 and Watch Dogs those that buy on current gen are going to end up with a horrible version.
Seriously does no one remember Just Cause and BF2 Modern Combat on the original Xbox?
There's no point in buying the 360/PS3 editions of BF4. As with BF2 the current console versions will pale in comparison to the next gen and PC versions and I'm certain you won't see any PS3/360 gameplay until the first reviews roll out....
I'm kind of inclined to agree however I would say that the good racers of this generation have been some of the best ever....
GRID? DIRT? BURNOUT PARADISE?? All three of those are better than almost all the games on that list....
And what about poor PGR4 or Split/Second? even Motorstorm is missing?
WRC 2 Was trash aswell.....
Sitting here now I wonder if Sadria may actually be a replacement for Fulgore, As characters go they seem kind of similar. Both using claws, both very dark characters....
