Reading through these comments and there is so much misinformation, what even is this...😂
Let's put some things straight...
-BC
Microsoft have been very clear on BC, all current OG Xbox and 360 games that are available on the X1 will be on Series X and EVERY X1 game is BC for Series X.
-Enhanced games
Series X will continue the enhancement of BC games with the addition of 4k resolution and 60/120fps support...
I also think this will be a next gen release, to early in development and time is running out on this gen.
Sony certainly should invest more in developing a good BC system especially going forwards, Microsoft may have done it simply because a small minority would actually use it but that small minority can have a very big voice as evidenced from MS's announcement of BC.
In Sony's tiny defence they would certainly have to invest a larger sum of money into this simply because the software of a PS4 is not based around Windows, for MS it was probably very simple to get early...
Actually take a look at Wolfenstein II on the One X it's comparable to the highest settings on PC at 4k, the only thing lower is shadow quality. Microsoft have done an amazing job of removing all the console's bottlenecks which allow it to hit settings above what the hardware would be capable of in a PC
From what I've gathered from the Forza forums it's because Toyota no longer want to be associated with visual car modding hence the removal from NFS and Forza but not PC2 and GT

I'm in total shock that people have taken these announcements simply at face value. These were quite simply total "shock & awe" tactics by Sony to mask the fact that for a second year running they have barely any big games for this holiday season.
Don't get me wrong I'm as excited by these games as anyone but there was absolutely zero substance to them meaning one simple thing, they are a LONG way off....

Did anyone consider the fact that in all likelihood the game has a day one patch that hasn't been deployed yet? Ubisoft are well known for day one patches that increase performance quite substantialy.....

I was massively skeptical about Destiny but gave it a preorder to try out the beta and I am so glad I did!
It has been a long time since a game has kept my attention for more than a couple of hours a day, I stuck the beta on and the next thing I knew it was 7 hours later....nothing short of a masterpiece so far....

As a rule emulators on PC's need top end hardware because of the programs code. With MS engineers on the case that removes some of the trouble involved.

Also in my opinion just beating it kind if defeats the point of the game, it's a playground for you to learn how MGSV is going to play and frankly it's a damn fine playground...
I actually finish very few games, time constraints and newer games tend to move my focus. I may eventually get back to some of the games months down the line but I would say 50-60% just tend to sit half finished
As much as I want Driveclub ASAP I would actually be concerned if the release was April the 9th, That gives Sony less than a month to rebuild the hype, let the press get new previews, certify gold and get review copies out....That would have all the hallmarks of a game that can't live up to it's initial hype...

To me this is a simple switch round of stances, both consoles are on roughly equal footing.
In Sony's case the architecture is much easy to develop with and offers more bang from the get go.
With MS the architecture is a little harder to develop with due to its dual OS and RAM, meaning it'll take awhile longer to grasp properly.
