@JimmyDM90
They gave Resogun a 65? Wow, man. The general opinion of Resogun seems to be that it is a great game both in terms of graphical fidelity and gameplay value.
Interesting.
This is the highest scoring review I seen for this game thus far.
Reviews for this game seem to have a common theme of citing visually stunning graphics, but relatively boring and repetitive gameplay. Not to sound like a jerk, but considering that this is Crytek game, I'm not surprised.
That's actually a very interesting point.
Even the most repetitive FPS games - looking at you, CoD - get amazing reviews. However, if it's not a FPS, then unless it happens to be an utter masterpiece, it generally gets a lower score.
Is it because games like CoD have spoiled most people and if a game does not give them that fast, near-instant gratification, then they just don't have the patience for it?
Is it because FPS game like CoD have...
I predicted that something like this would happen, but even I'm a little surprised by how severely most reviewers are slaughtering this game.
Kind of ironic now that I think about. A game about slaughter is getting slaughtered.
@JokesOnYou
Many may perceive you as a MS fanboy, and on this site that kind of rep will leave one as low as leper, but you have my respect. An unfortunately low number of people are mature enough to acknowledge their faults.
I guess that embargo has been released. It would explain this sudden influx of Ryse reviews.
Anyways, the majority of reviewers are giving it poor scores, ranging from 3-6/10 with the best score having been a 7/10. All citing that the game is visually stunning, but the gameplay is lacking and it has a tendency to get boring early on.
Not to sound like a fanboy, but I kind of saw this coming.
Apparently, my family has elected to get me one for Christmas. It would be rude of me to buy one anyways, so now I must wait...VERY patiently...
Wow. Those are tryhard stats and as a fellow tryhard, I can totally appreciate them :)
I'll make a note for myself to add you once I get my PS4 come Christmas.
People will be buying it now, so it is only logical to do a review now.
It's a simple matter to do a re-review some months down the road after UI features have been added and improved, updates have been sent out, hype has given way to objectivity, and more games have been released.
There is nothing wrong with doing a review at this point in time. Chill out, man.
This was a great review by a great person. Objective and accurate.
Personally, as a gamer before all else, I'm getting a PS4. However, if you are getting a Xbox One, then you have my respect.
If this was an attempt at a joke, then it's not funny.
If this is not an attempt at a joke, then gtfo.
I'm so tired of hearing about these oversensitive men and women expressing utter outrage over every little thing that could be considered even slightly edgy and/or politically incorrect. These are the same type of people who complained about Quiet's state of attire, dogs being punched in Battlefield 4, etc., etc.
People do this in Call of Duty ALL the time - even I do it on occasion. What's wrong with IW recognizing an aspect of the Call of Duty experience? I like...
"Why would I go by last gen when I can go by this gen?"
Maybe because we're not even a month into this generation? Maybe because we have years of last gen experience to draw from when it comes to forming comparisons?
Just thoughts...
@nukeitall
Oh, give a rest. 1% is well within the normal failure range for an electronic device.
Just watch. The day that the Xbox One launches there will be overblown reports of failures, just like with the PS4.
What about my comment makes me a fanboy?
Please reply back and articulate your reasoning. That, or just be a coward and leave me a phantom Disagree. Your move.
No. Probably not.
However, that doesn't make what I said false. He said that as a joke, you may not consider it funny, but it was still joke.
Exactly.
They're either waging a fruitless war or they're just nameless nobodies who are doing this for ****s and giggles. Either way, this will only prove to be a waste of time on their part.
This is why we can't have nice things, because some anonymous jerks have taken it upon themselves to wage an utterly pointless war against EA/DICE that only serves to obstruct the happiness of others.
I. Hate. People. Like. This.
When the Xbox One is released.
A similar thought ran through my head.
This will be the review that some of the more infamously pro-MS users on this site, like MorePowerOfGreen, Belking, etc., will be referencing later.
