If the sequel is good and does what a sequel should do (continue the story and add new elements without straying too far from the original formula), then I have no problem with them. It's the sequels that are unnecessary or the ones that are just blatant cash grabs that I have a problem with.
I'm all for new IPs, but keep in mind that there is no guarantee that will be great.

Right off the bat you will be able to tell that true heart was poured into its creation.

Not necessarily the game that has sold the most, but the game of the highest quality. The game that has had the most time, effort, and care poured into. The game that most resonates with the gamers.

In all honesty, I didn't even bother to watch it. I gave up on the VGAs a long time ago.
However, I have seen a few brief clips on Joel's comments and 'humor' and I must say that I didn't find him amusing. The stereotypical perceptions of what gamers are have long been a thing of the past.
This game, man. It's gonna be so sick :)
