This is a huge step forward in digital transactions indeed. I think Sony's boast of quality over quantity comparing to the other services is justified here. If Xbox Live wants to keep its lead, they better step it up a knotch. The digital distribution battle has just begun here.

IMO, this game has about as uch potential as a PSN game, or any downloadable gimmick for that matter. Think of it as Calling All Cars. Pretty cool at first, but quickly gets old. The level design looks about as imaginative as fear, and the A.I. ( And don't gimme the brainless zombie excuse) looks very poor. Did you see in the G4 hands-on interview that the player was just going up and meleeing everyone in that wooded area? That was a poor display of tech. Especially the graphics. I mean, comm...

I think Sony's intentions when creating the video store weren't to compete with xbox or merely entertain their fanbase, but to have something to walk hand-in-hand with the home tvs. But yes you're absolutely right. Good thing Sony is a big supporter behind third party products, or I may have had to go the xbox route and pay 120 bucks for 120 gigs.
