Man at the start of this gen was looking more at XBox1 over PS4. Quantum Break, Inside, Crackdown 3 pretty much had me sold. Then with CD3, QB delays. Inside on PS4, Driveclub update, Second sun, Resogun. Changed my mind. CD3 looked so awesome but the actual gameplay I’ve seen looks so uninspired. So all I feel I’m missing out on is QB, Cuphead, Gears just not enough to invest my time. Burried in backlog just the same. Maybe next gen.

I joined PS due to Sega packing it in, and had joined Sega due to Atari packing it in.
Got a PS2 hardly played it (women, rock clubs and beer and arcade were a lot more fun)
My daughter was born and picked up a PS3 so I could do something that world keep me up for late night 2am feedings,
I was hooked. Immediately picked up a PS4/PSVR and it's some of the best gaming I have ever had.
Finding time is hard now, usually only time...

Well with the new studios MS picked up, your going to get some. Probably for next Gen, but it does look promising.

And while that's great for the game in the US and for May, not sure what your comparing it to? My guess is GOW? GOW actually released in April 20th and did it's majority of it's sell through 3.1 million in 3 days, where SoD2 released in May and sold through 2 million in 2 weeks. While we have not got numbers yet for SoD2 for a month yet...
Sony congratulated MS on XB1and X release also. It's just what you do. (when your head of a company)

Console makers all set out to do that but, by the time you ask dev what they are looking for specs change 4 years down the line. Good amount of Developers are always pushing hardware to it's end.
