The first patch (1.01 which came out last Thursday) doesn't shorten the load times.
It'll be the second patch which addresses them.
Sadly I have to agree.
I loved PES on PS2, it was joyous to play, but the kick in the balls I got from PES 2008 on PS3 was too much.
The game has gone stale and watched as FIFA has gone on leaps and bounds. The last few years we've been promised PES would be back on track by Seabass but it hasn't happened, so I'll be pessimistic over the new one until I can try it.
That's not Sony's fault though, blame OFCOM/UK government for deciding to use DVB-T2.
People who called the iPod touch the iTouch really grinds my gears too.
One of my little pet peeves.
It'll be interesting when 3D arrives on PS3 to see how much momentum it gains.
Hopefully the next patch for the game sorts out the loading times, it's the only major blot on it's copy book.
8 thought is still a good score for the game!
Yeah suppose they could do a CULV version or something, though I'd be highly sceptical of it being the Cell or a variant of it.
It could always be a Snapdragon chip in the new PSP

Definite rumour.
Note about this:
“A streaming music application similar to Spotify will be announced in Sony’s press conference on June 15. It’s thought that this can run in the background while playing games.”
UK ‘unlimited’ ISP’s will love that.
Plus, streaming music in-game, surely this might bring about some lag issues?
A PSP with a Cell chip with 4 SPE’s? (note SPE’s, not actual cores. PS3 has 7 SPE’s)
The battery life would be horrible were they to do that, plus how would you cool the bloody chip in it?
Only problem with OLED is it can be hard to see in direct sunlight, something that's been noted with things like the HTC Desire, Nexus One etc.
If they managed to get hold of Samsung's Super AMOLED it'd be more viable as it offers 80% less sunlight reflection.
I'd imagine that the new DS will just stick with a TFT screen but maybe employ LED back/edge lighting to help reduce power consumption.
Quality lol There really are some idiots around
Awesome deal folks :D
If you've never tried Portal before you've no excuse not to now, it's awesomeness shall blow you away!!!
It's free on PC too.
Still need to get 4oD working on PS3 though.
Can't be any worse than the first one.
They aren't fixed.
Load times are still atrocious in the final game. From hitting X on the XMB to actually getting to do anything in the game takes 2 and a half minutes.
Then you have to sit through the loading times for each race then :\
Oh, and if anyone is wondering what the track accompanying the trailer is, it's Passion Pit - Sleepyhead
Until Microsoft want to keep it for Gold users only BBC won't allow it on.
Comes out in the EU in 2 days.
