Well old to you. I have never heard the original so it was new to me.

Ok im going to repost something someone posted on ign. Now im not a fanboy or am i trying to start anything but i almost fell out of bed i laughed so hard. So dont hate on me.

An Xbox fanboy, a Playstation fanboy, and a Nintendo fanboy are all climbing a mountain and arguing about which company has the best and most loyal fans. The Nintendo fanboy insists Nintendo has the most loyal fans and yells "THIS IS FOR NINTENDO" and jumps off the cliff. Not to be outdone by ...

Nice, i guess they felt the success justified the expense of a rewrite heres hoping its not crap

Was the og Dragons age open world? I seriously cant remember, im getting old. I get your point though. I think devs like the creative freedom open worlds give them as well. The Witcher 3 was better for it imo as you felt like a witcher. Doing contracts on a whim, running into bandits etc. Mgsv should not have made that jump. Final Fantasy we will have to see. I havnt played one since 8

Now maybe they are more prevalent now but open world sales games. I know some have "open world fatigue" but i for one love them. I love freedom to do what i want when i want. But thats me and respect youre opinion if its something you want to see less of

I guess youre saying open world is a new trend but even then open world rpgs have been releasing every year for the last decade at least.
I dont think they are releasing because of Skyrim. Oblivion and fallout 3 were both open world before that as were quite a few others

"New open world trend"

Since when are open worlds new? Im not arguing that a rpg has to be open world to be great but open world has been around for quite a few years now

I believe they are fixing the netcode in an update. Though i dont see why it didnt release with a better one.

I liked eso, i thought it had a ton of content at launch. I was at veteran 6 when i got burned out and there was still a ton of content left for me to play. And it has recieved two hefty expansion since i left. I guess i feel it was a super great value at 49.99. But what do i know as a console pleb :)

I like long rpgs as long as they keep me engaged. Its a good value to have one i can put 100+ hours into since i dont buy alot of games.

@edmix I know how you feel about the term exclusive and yes i know the technical definition of "exclusive" but a games that comes out for windows 10 is exclusive. Xbox is a windows 10 device as is a pc running windows 10. So when i say exclusive i mean windows 10 exclusive. They are 2 devises running on modified versions of the same OS.
