Chances of that happening is Zero! They are in competition. Sony did bluray as an advantage point and MS used dvd to keep its price down and to make their system cost less. They both used their respective technology as an advantage point.
If Bluray loses they will still make games on bluray. Its just a larger space to put games. It being used for movies is mutually exclusive.

The differences between the PS3 version and the 360 version will be negligible and someone will post screenshots that we will squint at the screen and try to notice the difference.
Or there will be a 5 second load time difference that you'd have to be playing one on PS3 beside the 360 to notice.

This is a good idea for gaming on the...(you know where this is headed) Go! It only makes sense. There are camera's for cell phones why not the PSP. Seeing who you're playing might be hot!

I'm a Madden fan. I tried to get into 2K but they're player models always seemed too thin and reminded me of Rock'em Sock'em robots. I used to make fun of my roommate when 2K first came out. Keyshawn Johnson would catch anything regardless how many guys were on him and whether the defense had position or not.
There are things that I like about 2K that I wished Madden would focus on but still got to go with ol'John. Half the fun is making fun of what he says! BOOM!!!

This is a matter of personal opinion and interpretation but those screenshot must have had the wrong names titled on them. Many of those pictures (Aside from F.E.A.R) look more defined and detailed on the PS3. On most of those shot's it's as if the 360 has some sort of haze over the pictures.

People only say "people shouldn't carry guns" when you live in a place that doesn't need guns. I used to live a in very dangerous place in the states. Carrying a gun was a way of protecting yourself. Honestly I don't think the price point is a huge issue in Japan. They have lot's of money on average in a family. They have one of the highest family incomes per capita in the world. I believe they buy based on games.
If a machine has games they like then they buy it. Look at Nintendo's DS. I assume that Sony will eventually address the Japanese games issue in due time.

Why would they pull a game, for a DIFFERENT console, off the shelf because its a year old? With that logic they shouldn't even release Ninja Gaiden for the PS3 and any other ports because its old!
Heck they shouldn't sell half the PS2 games because that system is old...
If people want the songs (and they do) and they are over priced people will start hacking and tearing away at Microsofts system to get it. The demand is still there but they are going to start seeing hackers come out the wood work to get songs and whatever else they think MS is charging too much for.

I'm interested to see how this launch goes. There are many young people from India into tech devices and many played online games. In our engineering college they used to always play after hours.
I also wonder if the games will appeal to them. That's a huge market! Maybe second to China. If the PS3 did well there they wouldn't need US sales.

They may have had some losses but I hope they stay in the game. They don't have to dominate but at least being competive forces Sony to innovate. Sony is very good at innovating but sometimes needs a kick in the pants to keep them going. MS gave them that kick in the pants.
Sony wasn't feelingmuch competition and really started to slack off with some crappy games but they have now invested money in there own gmaing development team and decided to lead the way as a game develop...
