No matter what Halo 3 turned out to be it was going to get great reviews. That's not the way it should be.
Halo 3 appears to be a great game but even when people admit that it has flaws there are no points taken off for it because they LOVE the multiplayer. I can't review Heavenly Sword and not take off for frame rate issues because I loved the font of the opening title. That's ridiculous and an uneven way of reviewing a game.

Maybe this guy is a little too high off of Master Chief Mountain Dew. I like Halo like the everyone else (not the fanatics) but even the 360 fanatics don't want the 360 to live or die off of Halo. There is a lot more gaming to do and a lot more each console has to bring to the table to be considered the winner.
Halo 3 is a good start on a long road.
I'm a fan of Lair. It got some pretty harsh reviews but it's legitimately a fun game. I don't believe it will be everyones cup of tea but for those who don't mind a different control scheme they will really enjoy the game.
I'm curious as to why they waited so long to advertise the game. I'm really confused at Sony's marketing. It should be more like Nintendo's,, just show people having fun playing your games. Imagine that...
the original X box had two Halo's the 360 has one. I don't believe Sony is scared in the least bit. Halo is a big game and it's a good game but Sony has a larger longer strategy.
Reading this site reminds me of GM facing Toyota years back. GM sold the most but eventually lost it's footing to a better quality vehicle. Toyota had/has a longer strategy. They aren't worried about one year, they eventually over take and devour you. What country is Sony and Toyota based out of...
it does go both ways. A month ago some 360 fans were saying that this site was biased to the PS3 because after E3 all the article were Pr-Sony.
Halo 3 is a big deal for MS and there will be many positive articles and journalist get a lot of buzz trying to take down Sony as the console giant so you will see a lot on negative articles about

the 6 axis adds a new element to gaming. Like everything new sometimes it can be cumbersome, difficult to learn, used improperly, and not given a chance.
My personal opinion is that they did the right thing adding it because like rumble, it adds to the immersiveness in games. Most games allow you turn it off if it is not your taste and then you can hold the controller the same way you did the NES controller in 1985.
If you play it you'll like it. ISay never even played the game. The game is actually fun. It's not perfect but so far I have found a single game that is. On the other hand the game is fun.
If you don't want to risk $60 rent it. If you hate 6 axis then stay away from Lair. It truly is a fun game. No fanboy.
it would appear that now would be a great time to pick up the PSP slim for those long flights. This will no doubt strengthen the PSP sales figures through the holiday season.

This appears to be a very good game and hopefully the gameplay is as good as the visuals. The story seems interesting enough so hopefully it draws you in. After Heavenly Sword and how captivating it's story is, it would appear that Sony is using some of that movie know-how into it's games. That's a good idea.
$60 already set aside for who ever has it on release day. It's good they are attacking the action adventure segment of gmaing because aside from Heavenly Sword and Lair (more of a flight action/adventure) their isn't a whole lot out there in it's genre.
It will lose 1 point for not being online.
It will lose 1 point for not having multiplayer.
It will lose 1 point for the box art.
It will lose 1 point for not being on the 360.

and not a bunch of crappy games. I'm sure with that kind of money they could set aside some time to crank out one really superb title that will sell. They may beable to win back some respect and acclaim.

but that is stupid to me. I suppose people can spend money on whatever they want but if someone buys that they really need to look at themselves and how they're prioritzing their life. You don't have to eat Final Fantasy cereal just because you like the game and there is a plastic decoder ring inside every box.

I hope that Sony gives them the nod because it's one of the best action adventure games I've played in a long time. God of War is a tight game but Heavenly Sword is distinctly different in it's appeal and how you are drwan into the story and to the characters. Definitely a different feel between the two games, gotta have both.
it doesn't take guts to kill yourself. All it takes is looking at a situation from the wrong perspective. Why would you end the res tof your existence over a video game?
