jaja, its about variety. the biggest titles for microsoft are mainly shooters, sony's biggest titles are mainly from all different genres. good shooters was one thing ps2 actually lacked, so it seems the ps3 is making up for that.
the 360 sold 5-7 million in its first year, they are very very close. Also the ps3 didnt have europe sales for 5 months and didnt get to sell during the holidays. all consoles will do fine and arent going anywhere.
Makes you wonder how much this number would of increased if the ps3 released in europe during the holidays.

sony hasnt lowered the prices dramatically because it hasnt had to yet. The ps3 has been beating the hd-dvd sales since it was released, this gives the people on blu-ray's side to not worry while they work on lowering the prices of stand alone players. Overall, it is working pretty well for sony and the people who support blu-ray.
are you kidding socomnick, the playstation brand has already done that and has games that have sold more than halo. Believe it or not halo isnt the highest selling game, not even close.

im really starting to think this was sony's plan all along, their main cash cow is still the ps2. they released the ps3 at a high price point and its been doing pretty good, but it works for them since they are constantly lowering the prices of the components. im thinking they purposely delayed games to a later date so they dont get killed by selling lots of consoles at a loss.
